World War Z is an upcoming film starring Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane a U.N. employ who travels the world interviewing survivors of a Zombie apocalypse in the hope of stopping it. As you can see from the trailer below the film does not look great and the CGI lets it down in places with the graphics looking more suited to a PlayStation 2 game, than a 2013 blockbuster.
The film is based on a book of the same name by Max Brooks, which is a sequel to the first book ‘The Zombie Survival Guide’. Looking at the trailer you seem to come into the film halfway through, which makes sense if it is the second book in a series. But you are going to be forever playing catch up.
The film looks to have a decent story but I anticipate this to be one of the flops of the year. The acting looks hammy in places and with a budget of $125 - 200 million I think that this film will clean up at the Razzies next year.
This film wants to be a big screen version of the hugely successful ‘The Walking Dead’ but with the CGI not being up to scratch and the poor acting this looks to be a film to forget. It is due for release on June 21 2013, but judging from the trailer the poster (which you can view below) seems to be the best thing about this film.
After Earth sees the return of Will and Jaden Smith (Cypher Raige and Kitai Raige) to the big screen together since the Pursuit of Happiness in 2006. This is the second trailer released for the film, the first can be viewed here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZIt20emgLY, and both of them show that the film could be the most visually spectacular film of 2013.
The story of the film looks very good also when the ship which is carrying both Cypher and Kitai crash lands on earth, 1,000 years after humans had to abandon earth and re-establish human kind on the planet Nova Prime. In that time earth has evolved to kill any human on the plant.
With Cypher (Will) injured in the rash it is up to Kitai (Jaden) to reach the tail section of the ship, to be able to signal for help. Both will have to learn to trust each other if they want to escape Earth alive. Danger is Real, Fear is a Choice, the film is set for release on June 7 2013.
The Internship see’s Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn reunite on the big screen since the hugely successful Wedding Crashers. The Internship follows Billy and Nick, Vaughn and Wilson, as they try to reinvent themselves with a new job after the digital age ruins their careers. Both men apply for an internship, hence the films name, at Google.
The Internship looks like a good comedy judging from the trailer below with some witty one liners. It is a good first trailer and could be one of the comedies of the summer with a due date of June 7th 2013.
In the first of the series to be in 3-D, Jean-Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren return in the fourth installment in the franchise.
